  • Usage data — analytics events such as pages visited, features used, and errors encountered, collected via PostHog.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the BoltPDF service — storing templates, generating filled PDFs, and managing prefill records.
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • To improve our product through anonymized usage analytics.
  • To diagnose and fix technical issues via error tracking.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BoltPDF:

  • Clerk — authentication and user management.
  • UploadThing — secure file storage for uploaded PDF templates.
  • Neon — serverless PostgreSQL database for storing application data.
  • PostHog — product analytics and error tracking.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Each service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in secure, managed infrastructure. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. PDF files are stored through UploadThing's infrastructure, and application data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies & Tracking

BoltPDF uses cookies for authentication session management (via Clerk) and analytics (via PostHog). These are essential for the service to function and to help us understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your own templates and prefill records directly within the application. To request full account deletion, please email us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of BoltPDF after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
